When I was little, one of my favorite places in the world was the Play Zone (I believe that’s what it was called) in Appleton, Wisconsin. I don’t think it’s there any more, but at the age of 3, that was an awesome place. While I’m not in Appleton anymore, and I haven’t been since I was a little girl, I will always remember the fun I had at the Play Zone. Another one of my most loved locations was McDonald’s, specifically the play place area. I absolutely adored the space ship ride at the very top, and I can remember thinking I’d never get there because there were so many nooks, crannies, twists, and turns; the ship seemed so out of reach. Sometimes I became scared if I took a wrong turn, but the top always motivated me to keep going. 
The other day, Craig and I enjoyed a beautiful fall Saturday morning on campus reporting on an art project. Since I work at the campus newspaper, it was my job to go and retrieve information on the story, but Craig was kind enough to come along and help me. He’s probably helped me with more projects than I can list, and since he was once again such a great assistant, I proposed we go to McDonald’s. Read the rest of this entry »
